We have a number of programs that are available to the families and staff at our center.
The Department of Health has assigned a nurse to work with staff with Friends of St. Francis. She consults as needed and regularly provides inservice training on relevant topics.
Vision, hearing, dental screenings are offered annually to all children enrolled. Speech assessments are arranged on an as needed basis.
Staff conducts developmental assessments using the California Department of Education’s Desired Results Developmental Profile .
The Center provides sensori-motor screenings for all preschool aged children and for toddlers as needed. This is made available through our relationship with Alanna Freeman, O.T.R. who is committed to assisting us in providing quality early childhood programming that is informed by the most recent research in children’s brain development.
